Good Old Me :

Hey Dolores, hey Jack, hey Charles
Remember me at the devil's arms
See, i got myself a flask, and i got me a six-pack
Good old me is back

This the warning to you all
Look at me standing, slouching but tall
I have all the pluck, it’s the patience i lack
Good old me is back

Now get ready to scream and shout
You thought you had me all figured out
Well, i've got my axe and i've taken the mic
Good old me is back

Now i may sound a little excited
But did you ever have to wait like i did
Will you give me a break, will you cut me some slack
Good old me is back

I've paid my dues, i've done my time
I bear no grudges of any kind
You can tell Dolores, Charlie and Jack
Good old me is back

Give Me A Reason :

Keep your chin up, brother
Show me what you have to give
There isn't gonna be another
Life for us to live

This one's all right,
You know, it's not that bad
If you're lonely at night
And if you feel a little sad

Now bang on that drum like there's no tomorrow
Tell me something i don't know
Raise the roof and the house will follow
Give me a reason not to go

You could fly with a hundred people
You could see our planet from above
You could choose to be evil
And hurt the one you love

You can hear the voices of the dead
You could make a swedish winter hot
You could think about what i've said
You can use to have a life or not

Keep playing, keep on playing
Show me what i'm thinking of
You know just what i'm saying
Now, give me some love

I Didn't Know :

The grass was green, the dagger rusty
I promised you the world, and you could trust me
Now the sky is pitch black, and the blades are blue
I didn't know i didn't know you

You gave me dreams, the sweetest of dreams
Made me sleep sound through fire and screams
Now the owl is hooting "hoo-hoo"
I didn't know i didn't know you

The stars could fall, our love would stand
I held your fingers in my hand
Now the earth keep spinning but our love is thru
I didn't know i didn't know you

Run Your Run :

Run your run

You set fire to the manger and hunted the stranger
Even tore the wings from the china angel
Like a angry little boy with his stupid toy
Cause what you can't have, you wanna destroy

The other hit your hard, like the sheperd's stone
All of the sudden you were not alone
But you broke the spell and you hid your love
Cause what you can't control you wanna get rid of

You keep all the food in your fridge and stomach
You keep your wine in your cellar and headache
You watch the butterflies die in your butterfly net
Cause what you can't get, no one else should get

Now eat your food and drink your wine
Take what's yours and take what's mine
Hide your love and tell on your neigbor
We'll see you down the road, we'll see you later

What A fool :

I looked my best, i wore a clean shirt
I was ready to dance, i was ready to flirt
Clean-shaven, happy at heart
Clean-minded, clean and smart

After five minutes you stole away
When i'd been waiting the whole day
What a fool you must have thought me
You must have thought me such a fool

If only you'd let me take the lead
You'd see i am exactly what you need
But you won't hear, you won't listen
You've no idea what you're missin'

I started to stutter and shake
With my heart at stake
What a fool, you must have thought me
You must have thought me such a fool

Another one will know better
She'll come to me, and i will let her
Take all that once was yours
And open all the doors

That i kept unlocking for you
oh, if only you knew
What a fool, you must have thought me
You must have thought me such a fool

Then Came The man

All around there was only darkness
You carried the world on your shoulders like Atlas
A swarming world of ants and flies
With feeble limbs and bulging eyes

Then came the man

Your heart was empty like a bottle of gin
Still smelly and hazy up to the brim
Your heart was full, your heart was heavy
loud, bulky, and unsteady

The man came with the new day
The man came to show you the way
The man has come and whatever others say
The man has come and he's here to stay

No one loved you, no one cared
You were hiding and you were scared
You had no dreams to cling to
You had no ears to sing to

Kate :

I lit them up at fireworks bit sipped on my drinks
Red eyes may hurt but vomit stinks
I listened with care, i put my heart in it
I did, i swear, you were still doubting it

You fell into dreams, i couldn't get you back
And before the end of my third pack
It was morning again
And you walked away through the pouring rain

Well, you know that i love you, kate
Why didn't you just kiss me at the gate
Are you playing a part ?
Are you trying to fool your own heart

Kate, do you think you're smart
Where do you stop ? Where do you start ?

Do you find me brash ? Do you find me tactless ?
What is this is just midsummer madness
Maybe it's ok, maybe it's not that bad
Maybe it's alright if you think i'm mad
Half-jokingly you said you missed your bed
And i thought you were giving me the go-ahead

Sometimes the best exiting line
Leads to act two in the listener's mind

Well, you know that i love you kate
What good will it do to sit around and wait
Are you playing a part ?
Are you trying to fool your own heart

Kate, do you think you're smart
Where do you stop ? Where do you start ?

You squinted and snarled like your eyes were sore
When i carelessly dropped your bags on the floor
Didn't sound like a war ? didn't sound like thunder ?
Isn't life itself just a beautiful blunder

Aren't we falling like a ton of bricks ?
Aren't we scattered around like toothpicks ?
Every time we fall asleep
And the sleep is sound, and the sleep is deep

Well, you know that i love you kate
Let’s cut the crap, and it‘ll all be great
Are you playing a part ?
Are you trying to fool your own heart

Kate, do you think you're smart
Where do you stop ? Where do you start ?

Where Have You Been :

You spent ages talking with the dead
Hours and hours on the worldwide web
But there ain't no love in the thinking machine
Tell me where have you been

You got the leather belt, the leather shoes
You know a lot of facts from the morning news
But your face in your mirror is turning green
Tell me where have you been

You change your style, improve yourself
Take care of your home, take care of your health
But the snake is deaf, and the snake is mean
Tell me where have you been

Is tomorrow holidays and nice weather ?
Is tomorrow gold, is tomorrow forever ?
I say life is bigger than your wildest dream
Tell me where have you been

Three Years :

Lend me an ear and i'll tell you a tale
I spent three years in the royal jail
Oh but i didn't steal, and i didn't lie
I just happened to look like some other guy

Yeah

I had my own bed, and a small iron box
Two pairs of trousers, two pairs of socks
A lot of time and hair on my hands
Lots of crazy ideas and elaborate plans

My cell mate, a killer, wasn't such a bad egg
At the time at the crime he was high on nutmeg
We shared our thoughts, we shared our smokes
We cheered each other up with our jail house jokes

The nights got boring, the nights got long
My friend got tired of my song
I started to think, without a doubt
Life is shorter either way, if you die or break out

We pulled monkey on the apes
That was the plan for our great escape
We walked out unnoticed by fifty two guards
All staring in one direction like a deck of cards

Now i've changed my name and i've changed my face
I carry my shame from place to place
And my life is strange, my life makes no sense
In a way it's empty, in a way it's intense

Here is what i learned behind that wall
Here is a piece of advice to you all
It's ok to steal, it's alright to lie
But try not to look like some other guy

One Goodbye :

You can stand me out, let me down
Scatter my belongings all around
Leave me drowning in the middle of the sea
But please don't mention her name to me

How does one stop one’s mind
For looking back, back in time
I look at the world and there is nothing to see
Please don't mention a name to me

It only takes one fall to make you scared of fights
It only takes one dream to make you scared of the night
I only took one goodbye
To make me the man i am

I have a superpower, i'm a seer
I know that the grass is never greener
And i have no better place to be
Please don't mention a name to me

Living is easy, living is nice
Beer and skittles, wine and dice
I'll take a bit of that, i'll sit beneath the tree
Please don't mention a name to me
